Some photographs reveal something different when given more room—the flow of water, the complexity and repetition of a tree’s structure, shifting clouds, atmospheric light, or intricate textures on the forest floor.

I am drawn to the mood, intrigue, and quiet created by these natural patterns and forms, particularly when they begin to approach abstraction. The photographs in Between Rhythm and Stillness have been selected because their richness and detail benefit from being experienced at a larger scale, inviting a closer look at aspects of the natural world that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
