The flowers of my Genie magnolia receive most of the attention each spring, but I have always been drawn to every stage of a plant's life and growth.
Photographed in my New Jersey garden before the blossoms appeared in their velvety glory, this image focuses instead on the soft seed pods emerging among rich green leaves. Their gentle textures and quiet presence offer a different kind of beauty, one that speaks to the unfolding rhythms of the seasons and the rewards of looking closely at what is often overlooked.
Each print is produced in my studio using archival inks on premium photo paper, preserving the color, detail, and subtle textures of the original photograph.
