Nasturtiums are one of the plants I start from seed each year. Their luminous flowers seem to capture the warmth and energy of summer itself, while their round, veined leaves bring a sense of coolness and calm even on the hottest days.
Inspired by the nasturtiums growing in my New Jersey garden, this watercolor painting is my interpretation of their glowing petals, velvety maroon centers, and distinctive lily pad-like foliage. The composition celebrates the richness of midsummer and the quiet pleasure of observing familiar plants.
Each print is produced in my studio using archival inks on premium giclée paper, preserving the color and detail of the original watercolor painting.
