This fine art print is a high-quality reproduction of my original wet-process cyanotype image, Japanese Anemone in Wet Cyanotype. The composition features the delicate leaves of a Japanese anemone growing in my garden, rendered in luminous shades of deep indigo, pale lavender, and soft blue. During the blooming season, the flowers attract bees all day long, bringing movement and life to the garden surrounding these graceful plants.
Created using a wet cyanotype process, the original artwork embraces the unpredictable interaction of water, chemistry, and light. The resulting textures, blooms, and tonal variations give the piece an atmospheric quality that blends botanical study with abstract expression. The pale leaves appear almost illuminated against the layered blue background, creating a calm and contemplative mood.
Each print is produced in my Princeton, New Jersey studio using archival inks on premium giclée paper, preserving the subtle tonal transitions and rich detail of the original cyanotype. The print is matted to 11 × 14 inches using acid-free 4-ply mats and backboards, with an 8 × 10 inch opening for easy framing in a standard-size frame.
Every print is individually stamped with my mark and packaged in a clear, protective cellophane sleeve — ready for gifting or display.
