White-breasted nuthatches are among the most entertaining visitors to my garden. Their adorable “small-person-laughing” kind of call makes me smile and announces their presence before they are visible. Once spotted, their habit of climbing headfirst down tree trunks and branches, combined with quick movements, more than reward the effort takes to find them.
This Nuthatch Card Set features reproductions of my original watercolor painting inspired by the curiosity and distinctive posture of these wonderful birds. Created through careful observation, the artwork captures the nuthatch's characteristic upside-down pose, delicate profile, and soft coloring, complemented by fresh green leaves and expressive watercolor splatter details that suggest the energy and movement of the bird in its natural setting.
