Skipper butterflies are easy to overlook at first glance. Smaller, shyer, and less showy than many of their butterfly relatives, they dart quickly from flower to flower before disappearing into the garden once again. I first began to notice them when my mint plants came into bloom and then later in the perennials. Sources of tiny, clustered flowers their tiny flowers are a reliable gathering place for these deeply fuzzy little visitors. Since then, seeing skippers has become a hallmark of summer.
This Skipper Butterfly Card Set features reproductions of my original artwork inspired by these familiar garden companions. Created through patient observation, the artwork celebrates the skipper's warm colors, soft texture, and quiet presence.
Each set is produced in my studio using high-quality printing on smooth matte cardstock to preserve the detail and tonal richness of the original drawing.
