Some objects become familiar through daily use and gradually fade into the background of our lives. An old chair can be one of those objects—present through conversations, celebrations, quiet moments, and ordinary routines until its shape and character become part of the fabric of a place.
This pastel painting was inspired by the graceful lines and worn details of an antique chair I found in Pennsylvania and whose history can only be imagined. Simple in composition, the artwork celebrates the beauty of craftsmanship, the passage of time, and the quiet presence of everyday objects that are often overlooked.
Each set is produced in my studio using high-quality printing on smooth matte cardstock to preserve the color and detail of the original artwork.
